While riding from Tempe to Phoenix for the Night Rail event, a group of people started singing show tunes. There were about 10-15 of them and they even had their own piano. The car we were in was so jammed packed that it was the perfect setting for an impromptu singalong.

Light rail construction downtown. A few blocks away from where the Ramada Inn, errr, new ASU Downtown dorms are. 30 days till classes start and they are converting old motels into dorm spaces.

If the light rail system was finished, it would rank much much higher. But it is a mess right now and December 2008 seems awfully far away. I love that we are building the METRO. I love that we had the will to fund it. And I will love riding it in 2009, sigh…
