However, alcohol and cigarettes are quite frequently partner addictions and the bar owners don't want their patrons drinking at home because they can't smoke in the bar. The alcohol beverage industry sees a diminishing of their businesses tied to the anti-smoking movement or they wouldn't fund these kinds of campaign ads.
