True true. I sorely did, however, want to agree with you on how amazingly beautiful I think this fall is going to be. I love Arizona's fall and winter, the weather is more gorgeous then I could ever hope for.

However, it didn't seem to fit right in the tone of my previous email. I can fit it in here, though. :-D

Free speech, Chris, free speech. :-D

What I like about Arizona is my friends are here and a job with co-workers I like is here. The rest -- the heat, the conservative grip, the lack of creative things to do and the city's continual beat-down of the fun and original (i.e., First Fridays) is what I strongly dislike about Phoenix. The art scene is held down but can bloom, the activities and unique places that make a city cookie-cutter are still here (but the city's preference of big business versus mom-and-pop establishments is more then obvious), and the transportation scene is horrid in most areas of the city).

For all of this, I am a taxpayer and a contributor and partaker of society, and I shall whine as loud as I wish.

For the weather, there is nothing we can do about it. However, I will remain here for now until life dictates that it is time for me to move along. I will, however, continue to whine and complain just as I always have during those four months of the year. I will not get over it and I will not move. Yes I am a transplant and yes, in the long-term, I am merely a transient of the city, but it is still my city and my rights give me permission to bitch as much as I like.

For those who wish to hear the complaints cease, I recommend they hole up into their secluded world, or simply turn the volume up on their ipods.

For we will complain regularily about the heat in the summer and the snowbirds in the winter. If you wish, you may set your clock by us. We will not let you down.
