Sale time

So, by now you’ve probably heard about the Robinsons-May stores closing due to the Macy’s merger deal. But, did you know they’ve got the storewide sales going on now? I had to crack up at the sign that said something like “20-40% off storewide, nothing held back” and then in smaller print it had a list of exceptions. There ARE some very good deals there, but there are also some things that are pretty much only average even after the 40% off. Still, shopping is fun, and even more so when there’s the hope of some bargains.

20 – 40%? Lame. Seriously lame especially for a “closing the store” sale. I don’t buy ANYTHING at Robinsons May unless it’s 60% off or more. A few times a year they close out mens buttondowns for 60% to 80% off, those are the only 2 days I shop at R-M. Who are they kidding?

Oh, I don’t know, I thought $4 for a shirt was pretty decent.

for me, the times i hit robinsons may always end up in huge savings because everything seems to constantly be on sale or clearance. and, to top it off, the people at the registers almost always give me the extra discount from the coupons i never see or remember to bring in. i don’t know about men’s clothing but it’s a fairly decent place to get good deals on women’s stuff.

I was in one of their stores in Pennsylvania and got a pair of suede Pumas I’d been eyeing for $30. Made me happy!
