Next time we need to bring Adam…

After reading about Adam’s adventure at Phoenix Greyhound Park we decided to check it out. The park was dead, may a couple of dozen people. No real energy, kind of depressing actually. It got worse when we moved down to the track. Did you know the dogs whine and yelp when placed into the starting block? Next time we go with Adam and kin…

Our neighbor adopted an excellent greyhound that we jokingly refer to as the “loser” since she couldn’t cut it at the track and was placed for adoption. They have pretty intense screening programs for all of the dogs that need to get placed in homes after they’re not able to race anymore and most times end up being pretty good companions. They’re trained to pee on orange traffic cones, which is cool, but you have to remember to keep your toilet seats down or else they’re prone to stick their feet into the bowls, as they’re used to cooling off that way in water buckets after racing. Dog racing kind of freaks me out.
