Phoenix Firsts
Yesterday, I had my first experience driving during rush hour in Phoenix. While it is certainly nothing like DC’s rush hour, it was much more challenging than I expected. I was on 17, and the thing I noticed most was that people would slow down (and sometimes stop) for no reason what-so-ever. It seems that there are no “fast” or “slow” lanes, it’s sort of like a drive at whatever speed you want, where ever you want, sort of thing, which was disconcerting in its inconsistency. I’m guess I just need to get used to the different driving style around here.
Also, I had my first appointment with a salon in Phoenix yesterday. I an appointment at Sensations Salon in the afternoon, and was a bit nervous, since salons can vary so much. What if I hated my aesthetician? What if she was terrible? These are all really important things to consider. I was very happy with the results, and Boyka was excellent. The one thing that I didn’t like about the salon was the atmosphere. It looked almost like a shopping mall barber shop, not luxurious and calming, as you would expect at these prices. Still, I would definitely recommend them for any beauty needs.
