Out and About in Glendale

Last night, I went out with a few of my classmates to celebrate the end of our Chinese Immersion class. After spending an hour or so at the campus pub, we decided to go to Wet Willy’s off of 83rd Ave. (Or is it street? or Drive?) We were surprised to see a rather long line for the door, but rather than wait, we decided to go to Fox and Hound. Supposedly F&H is an Irish Pub, but the only thing we could find that could peg it as Irish was a sign over one of the rooms that read “Green Room.” But that aside, it was a really cool place. Five separate areas (that I noticed), all with different music, and an all-around fun atmosphere. The main room had two long tables near the bar with checker boards every few feet, which I thought was really cool. It’s also a cigar bar, though I only saw 1 person with one. The most interesting thing about the place? The mouthwash dispenser (complete with mini-cups) in the bathrooms.

Keep us posted on anywhere you find to go out in the West Valley.

The only bar I’ve been to on that side of town was the Thunderbird Campus bar…which was way cool.

I’m not surprised it’s the most multicultural place I’ve visited in the Valley but I’m surprised that more people don’t check it out. Unless I was there on an exceptional night..
