Who Says There’s Never a Cop Around When You Need One?

So there we were driving aimlessly down Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd. looking for the Lowe’s that my husband is sure is there because the Lowe’s on our side of town doesn’t have what we want and he knows that this particular Lowe’s has it because his friend/client got it there. I suggest maybe he should call said friend and ask him exactly where the Lowe’s is, so as not to waste a lot of time and gas driving around aimlessly for another 10 minutes. And, surprise surprise, he actually listened to me! Imagine that. Anyway, I hear him say something about Scottsdale Road and blah blah blah. At this point I have to tell you, dear readers, that I don’t go to that part of town very often, and I couldn’t even figure out what direction we were going much less that Scottsdale Road was not exactly in the area in which we were driving.

We turned around and drove through both strip malls we had already passed in case Lowe’s was hiding in one of them. It wasn’t. But there was a very nice Scottsdale police officer sitting in his car in the parking lot of one. And he very kindly rolled down his window and told us exactly where the Lowe’s was located which is, of course, Scottsdale Road, which is not, of course, the same thing as Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd.

The bottom line is that we did finally get to Lowe’s and found what we were looking for. And the moral of our story? Yes, Virginia, sometimes there are cops police officers around when you need them.
